That Nanoleaf - Aurora Rhythm Smarter Kit is so tempting. A quick Google shopping search says that it is a good price. Someone talk me in or out of it please.
I'll chime in: Nanoleaf is my favorite HomeKit accessory, I have it as an accent light bordering my iMac. I automate it for still light during the day when I work and then change it up with moving scenes in the late afternoon/night time. The app could be better, but it's functional. Overall, it's a fun addition to a HomeKit setup if you have the wall space for it!

Soon to be the happy owner of a new iPad Pro for $470 after sale, student discount, and iPad Air 1 trade!

Edit: Check that .... $370!

Here's a discount on a bunch of products we need to move in order to make room for the new ones Apple is going to release in a couple months. No different than the car companies and their year-end clearance.

Hey there, you'll need a My Best Buy account, and sign in here to follow the steps to get the Student Deals: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/clp/college-student-deals/pcmcat276200050000.c?id=pcmcat276200050000

Wonder if I can combine that with an affiliate link. Suppose the Apple employee discount is still better even with the student and affiliate commission stacked.

You say that as if it's a bad thing. For what I need it for, this is a fantastic deal.

How do you get the 150 being a student?
Once you go on bestbuy site. You sign up for student discount. Once you sign up. They email you a discount code. I think really all you need is the discount code. But i don't think they would allow us to post the discount code here.

Wow. Between this $150 off, $150 .edu discount, and other incentives, I could pick up a 13" MBA for $450 out-the-door. Tempting. Very tempting. This is the same deal that I took advantage of nearly 4 years to the day to get an 11" MBA for $450 out the door.

If these products meet your needs, unless you need them right now, I'd wait until Sept when new models are announced, as you'll see an even bigger discount then.

Well if it comes recommended by a Gunslinger, it must be good enough for me. I think you (and my fascination with light up stuff) have sold me on it. I'll prob wait until the 15 pack goes on sale though or maybe wait until these touch sensitive ones are out. Have you seen them? Anyway, thank you for your reply.

It will be useful, but not essential, to have it for the next couple months. And my Air 1 has been slipping steadily in trade-in value. So once I take all that into consideration, I'm more than happy dropping $400 (tax included) today.

I was actually planning to buy a regular iPad, but all sales considered, the pro was only $70 more.

Can you program certain panels to light up with certain HomeKit triggers? Does it work with IFTTT? I have Ring stuff that doesn't work with HomeKit yet (I know, sigh).

I've been thinking about waiting for the square ones as well. I'd like to know if the square ones will be compatible with the triangle ones to make more complex shapes, or if they'll have newer touch triangular ones. In the video the lighting of the panels looks uneven, but that may be due to camera exposure or an early version of the product? I'm about two weeks out from having my new 320sqft basement studio office space finished and would love to get a set of these panels as an accent behind my desk where my new desktop Mac will go (undecided, waiting to see what the Mac Pro offers but that's a ways out). For now I need to buy a new chair and a new 4K display so it's probably best to wait to see what comes out this autumn. I am also interested in the 15 kit so if the price on that dropped enough I would be really tempted. When I first saw these a few years ago I thought they were way overpriced but it's amazing what 1. A big pay raise and 2. A cool new studio space and 3. Working from home a few days per week will make you want to blow money on. Looking forward to posting photos of my setup when all the pieces are in place next year.

Hmm to buy an Apple watch with the $50 off or to wait till series 4 come out... That is the question????

I've decided to wait. AW is not mature tech yet, so each AW is bringing huge improvements over the last. I figure AW4 will be a compelling update over AW3. And if it isn't compelling, then AW3 will be more like $75 or $100 off at that point.

Is it bad that I dug through every page of their deals and found nothing I need? The nanoleaf is a neat party trick, but I’m not seeing anything on sale that’s “ZOMG I must buy it now so cheap.”

$849 - $150 student = $699. Not sure how you get $450 out the door (what about sales tax)?
