Best Buy this week has another sitewide sale going, with notable discounts across a wide collection of products. Yesterday, we shared a deal on Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 devices, and Best Buy's sale also includes pre-order discounts on the brand new Samsung Galaxy S24 series of smartphones, with up to $120 off unlocked models and up to $870 off unlocked models with a qualifying trade-in.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with Best Buy. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

If you don't have a trade-in to complete, you can get the 256GB Galaxy S24 for $799.99 ($60 off), the 512GB Galaxy S24+ for $999.99 ($120 off), and the 512GB Galaxy S24 Ultra for $1,299.99, down from $1,419.99.

If you do have a smartphone to trade in, you can get up to $870 off these smartphones when you pre-order. Additionally, Best Buy is providing up to a $150 Best Buy e-gift card when you trade in an existing device and pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.

Cellular carriers have offers through Best Buy as well, including the same Best Buy e-gift card promotion. When pre-ordering through Best Buy and trading in a qualifying device, Verizon and AT&T customers can save up to $1,120 on the new Galaxy S24 smartphone.

Samsung announced these smartphones last week, and their flagship feature is the addition of "Galaxy AI," a new artificial intelligence feature. You can read more about Samsung's iPhone 15 competitors in our hands-on post.

There are many more deals to be found during Best Buy's sitewide sale, and we've rounded up a few of them below. You'll find MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models at all-time low prices, major discounts on 4K TVs, notable sales on headphones and earbuds, and much more.

Honestly this is why I like MacRumors. They report on the competition and even offer links for purchases to the competition. Supporting the competition is important if we want to keep Apple in check and deliver better products for us.

I use both Android and iPhone, but $1300 for a 256GB S24 Ultra that doesn't even have usable face unlock, no thanks. Talk about a rip off.

I just realized Samsung give student discount with the S24 phones while Apple give us nothing. The only thing Apple give is $100 off for military discount. I got to find someone in the military to get the discount.
Giving a discount on something which is probably going to lose 50% of its value in a few months, is pretty much just to entice early buyers.

I agree. I've been an iPhone user since the 3Gs and I have no plans of switching brands in the foreseeable future, but I appreciate all tech and I like to learn about new devices. Competition makes all products better.

I’ll be trading in my iPhone 15 Pro Max for the S24 Ultra. Samsung is ahead of the AI game and I want in. Meanwhile, Apple’s offerings for iPhone 16 sound boring, repetitive, and iterative, and I’ve lost all hope that Apple will innovate again.

Keep in mind, Samsung plans to start charging for AI next year. I'm all for you trying Android though. I stopped using an iPhone as my daily after I switched to the Z Fold 3. I've never looked back.

The discounts and other incentives are part of the reason why Samsung, Google and other phones that more often push discounts/incentives lose their value faster as resale percentages are typically calculated against MSRP and not necessarily what someone paid.

Time will tell how that plays out. Just because they are only committing to offer it for free through the end of 2025 doesn't mean they won’t decide to continue to offer it for free beyond 2025. This is similar to Apple only committing to offer Emergency SOS via satellite free for two years but they may still decide to continue to offer it for free after that.

Right, that is why I said they "plan" to start charging for AI.

Who would pay $1,299 for an Android?
Most people on here are tech savvy, so most of us would not and take advantage of trade-ins or pre-order incentives. I'm trading in a Pixel 8 Pro that I paid $850 for, for the S24+ and with Samsung's many pre-order bonuses the phone costs $495 out of pocket for me. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic LTE was only an additional $160 for me. Assuming all is well and I like the phone, I will then sell my iPhone 15 PM. Apple does nothing remotely close to this in terms of incentives. If I wanted to buy the Buds 2 Pro rather than the Watch it would've been $9.95. I already have Sony XM5's but the Buds 2 Pro for $10? That's bonkers and a great pre-order bundled deal.

Same thing applies to iPhones. I haven't paid full price for an iPhone in many years, and I upgrade every year. Assuming I get rid of the 15 PM for the S24+, and decide to get the 16 Pro Max, this'll be the first year I can remember where I may get hit paying full price with no iPhone to sell or trade in come September. Upgrading every year and selling the outgoing model is not expensive at all. This past year I sold my 14 Pro Max for $850 and put that towards the 15 PM. You feel the pain once when you buy the 1st iPhone at full price, but after that if you take care of the phone and sell it each year, an upgrade to the latest and greatest is under $500. No carrier BS to deal with and unlocked straight from Apple.

For anyone interested on this I feel that the official Samsung website has a better deal.

I'm primarily an iPhone user but have a pixel phone (trade in) for my small business and I got the 512gb S24 ultra + 2 years Samsung care + case + screen protector for $906 taxes included. Some people on TikTok have a link with an extra $50 off and you can find posts on reddit with referrals code for an additional 5% off ;) rakuten also had a 15% cash back promo last weekend so expecting to see some money back soon.

Excited to check what the latest android has to offer against the 15 Pro Max

Ok. I was taking your use of "plan" to mean their expectation rather than just a possibility. I don't know if Samsung specifically plans to start charging for AI features, they may just not want to rule it out as a possibility.

And how old is this news? The Note7 is circa 2016/2017.
How many times have iPhones burst into flames while charging? Let's not go there and stick to the topic.

I doubt anyone is paying full price for a S24 Ultra.
I'm sure not. I have a S23 Ultra that I'm trading in for $1k credit.
At the current trade values, it makes sense to dump the premium phone every year.
Last year I got the S23 free from Verizon when trading my 2 year old OnePlus.

I happen to like Android and don't like being in a walled garden. I like ad blockers that can use a local VPN and sideloading.
