Who would pay $1,299 for an Android?
I use both Android and iPhone, but $1300 for a 256GB S24 Ultra that doesn't even have usable face unlock, no thanks. Talk about a rip off.
Oh and the same amout paid for a 256GB iPhone Pro isn't a rip-off?
Also the Face Unlock on the S21-S24 Galaxy series is VERY usable! It's not as fail-safe as the FaceID system in iPhone BUT Samsung nor any other Android device manufacturer proposes to state so.
Personally I'd not use the FaceID BUT at the very LEAST I have a VERY accurate as well as much better implemention of fingerprint reader using ultrasonic on my S23 than any other iPhone that used TouchID. I was an iPhone ONLY user from 3G to 13 mini die-hard!! The OS had nothing more appealing to me after all those iterations, and the ecosystem was VERY limiting to me when I had no laptop and no tablet.
Lastly, Ordering direct from Samsung you get a free upgrade to 512GB storage att NO COST.
I agree. I've been an iPhone user since the 3Gs and I have no plans of switching brands in the foreseeable future, but I appreciate all tech and I like to learn about new devices. Competition makes all products better.
^ This sounds like a mature person whom isn't ruled by petulant emotions = bravo!!
Keep in mind, Samsung plans to start charging for AI next year. I'm all for you trying Android though. I stopped using an iPhone as my daily after I switched to the Z Fold 3. I've never looked back.
CORRECTION: Samsung will start charging for Google-Cloud based AI LLM requests next year - NOT on device processes.
Trust me Apple will be doing the same and if not the device cost will increase to cover server processing.
I will never forget the warning announcements in the airports about the Samsung phones (2016?). I like having a phone that is not prone to explode. The only droid I would buy is R2D2.
What?! 2016!? You're bringing something about about faulty batteries in Samsung Galaxy Note series from 2016!!
My dude you really need to just give that up and stay away from the middleschool sandbox. That was 8yrs ago!
Samsung has completely overhauled battery construction and have done very well with creating batteries, contruction, protection, battery health monitoring etc.
BTW to reduce myself to this level:
SO you would by a Motorola from over 12yrs ago but not one from 8yrs ago, nor today? Ok Have fun.,

That R2D2 looks snazzy doesn' tit?
