Best camera apps: Mavis, Filmic Pro, etc?

Hi

Would love to hear opinions, tips, experiences about the best app for producing video on iPhone X.

I hear Filmic Pro has/had issues with stability.

Mavis is newer, what does it have that Filmic Pro doesn't?

Do these apps
—better handle highlights than the app that's in X.

—have problems producing video with equal quality to X's app?

—have trouble syncing with external mics? (I just ordered a Sennheiser lavalier with lightning connector.)

Can you adjust audio volume while shooting?

Take photos, and also while shooting?

Can one adjust the Selfie camera?

Anyways, would really love to hear about others' experiences.
