I have an OtterBox Statement case on mine, it's a bit bulky but doesn't 'stick' to the finish like some of the other clear cases I've seen. They also have the Symmetry which is 100% clear instead of having the leather portion at the bottom.

Put that aluminum bumper on your phone and watch the signal drop.

After using both a K11 bumper and an Xdoria Lux I'm done with any type of metal surround for my phone. Both without a doubt dropped the signal but at least a bar or two. In some areas I drive through to and from work there's a very low signal and with either metal case I'd lose the signal completely. With my spigen case I manage to keep the signal the entire trip.

Pros:

  • looks cool
  • clear hard plastic back to be showy
  • drop protection seems there if its on a corner
  • fit is good
  • the dreaded "watermark" is VERY minimal
Cons:

  • feels plasticy
  • buttons are mushy
  • plastic back scratches as easily as JB finish (even wiping with the iMac screen wipe scratched it
  • the dreaded "watermark" is VERY minimal
  • no front or back lip to elevate camera or front screen when set on table
  • lightning port cutout has weird tabs on it that do not allow a lightning cord to go in all the way, though it still charges (just being nit-picky)
Overall, its an okay case. I put it on and just said "meh." When holding it, there is good grip and it makes it feel like a thinner phone believe it or not. I haven't tried it without the back plastic cover, I don't think I ever will since I'm pretty meticulous about the JB scratches.

That being said, it will hold me over until that SwitchEasy glass case comes ships (if it gets backed). Let me know what you think.

I don't want a clear case (plasticky, water effect) and I currently use the black Apple Leather case. However, I do want to enjoy the Jet Black finish and want to find a minimal case that shows it off. Think like the Apple bumpers for the iPhone 4.

I know the Rhinoshield Crashguard appears to be the most popular option at the moment, but it seems a bit bulky. Is there any other bumper or case that has come out or will come out in the next few weeks/months with the intent to show off the Jet Black?
Just get a RhinoShield bumper by Evolutive labs.

I really like this case...I think I am going to back it as well. Just hope all those logos and writings are not on the final product.
