I bought an Electrostand.....it's a sweet iPad stand with some cool features. I use it to watch movies next to my computer, read on my nightstand, and it's terrific for car racing games too. And at $79 bucks...it's well worth it.

Frankly I find the aesthetics resemble a '56 Buick, but tastes differ. I'm curious though about how the charging system works. Is there a connection in the case that passes the current from the stand to the 30 pin connector in the iPad? That's the only way I can imagine that the usb connection in the stand can enable charging of the iPad, itself. The photos on the website don't provide a clue.

I'm also a bit puzzled by how this works for "reading in bed." I can see it being placed on a bedside table but that's not the way (or I presume most people) read in bed.

I use this on bed or couch

I use the wedge-e holder. It's simple, I like it. I use it at starbucks while sitting on their chairs alot. Other than that there is the smart case I guess but don't know how well that works in bed.. Or the incase ilounge but that is kind of expensive.

You don't say if you want to read hands free or if you like holding onto your iPad. I started a thread while researching better hand grips. Your or other readers may find a good product by looking at this list:

One hand grip or handle to hold iPad, especially for reading

you might wanna check out lapdawg.com. a little pricey, but practical. if you get one, please post a review!

I have an iProp stand for my iPad2 and i love it

It is well worth the price everyone who has used it in my family loves it

They even sell extension poles to make it longer which I am considering purchasing

For the quality of the stand, the durability, the customer service (which btw responded within 1-2 days for all of my requests) i think it's a better deal than throwing money away on a pillow stand as i did

This stand can be wedged under your mattress and allows the ipad to float above your head.

Hang it from the ceiling. I'm almost serious! A guy here on MacRumors made a nice iPad-holder dangling from the ceiling, for his pregnant wife.

Just lie down and watch you movies, read your books, ect.
