Best email app for privacy?

Hi!

Can anyone recommend an email app that doesn't store anything remotely? In other words, the communication with the email server(s) should not go via the the app manifactures servers.

The iOS "Mail" app doesn't route your email through a third-party server (like iOS "Outlook" does).

But privacy? There's a reason that financial and medical institutions don't use email to relay sensitive information.
