Best External Optical Drives for Macbook Pro?

Looking into buying an external optical drive for my Macbook Pro, can anyone tell me what some good ones are? Which ones should I stay away from? This is all new to me. Thanks for the help.

The fastest (14x) BluRay writer would be the LG BE14NU40, which would however be rather stationary.

If all you want is a BluRay reader (and CD/DVD writer/reader) take a look at the iClover, which would be more suitable to be tossed into a bag.

Words of warning: the Apple USB SuperDrive has a non-detachable cable. It's a bit of a nuisance.
