Best free app for creating video DVD's?

I have a bunch of video files of various tv shows that I want to burn onto dvd's that I can play on my dvd player connected to my tv.

Which is the best free program to author a video DVD with?

This is my first time using a mac to mac a video dvd so pardon the newbness.

It's called iDVD. It comes with every mac.

I've not had a lot of success using iDVD to produce DVDs using video footage that hasn't come via my camcorder and iMovie. On numerous occasions I've had encoding errors when trying to write the dvd.

You might like to try Burn:

This worked first time for me on the last occasion the iDVD was giving me problems trying to make dvds of some .avi videos.
