Can you be at least slightly more specific?

Are you looking for an app to record videos of the desktop (e.g. to make training videos), a video editing app (and don't want to use iMovie for some reason), an HDR / DVR / PVR for TV shows, or.... what?

In iMovie if you move the slider from cutting to importing it can capture video from the iSight camera.

Agreed, iMovie is very easy for this.

Otherwise, iVeZeen is not completely free but has some additional features related to camera control.

In my MBP, I've got iMovie HD. I tried it, but it gave me an error. The camera cannot be find, although, I can see my face clearly.

That is odd. I've also got a MBP and I just tried it and it worked flawlessly.

Maybe a glitch. I'll try it some other time with a restart. Thanks for the tip though.

[Edit] It worked. I was using make magic iMovie before. "Create a new project" and your tip of import instead of cut, did the trick. Thank you. [/Edit]
