Are you looking for an app to record videos of the desktop (e.g. to make training videos), a video editing app (and don't want to use iMovie for some reason), an HDR / DVR / PVR for TV shows, or.... what? 😱 😕

In iMovie if you move the slider from cutting to importing it can capture video from the iSight camera.

Agreed, iMovie is very easy for this. 🙂

Otherwise, iVeZeen is not completely free but has some additional features related to camera control.

In my MBP, I've got iMovie HD. I tried it, but it gave me an error. The camera cannot be find, although, I can see my face clearly.

That is odd. I've also got a MBP and I just tried it and it worked flawlessly.

Maybe a glitch. I'll try it some other time with a restart. Thanks for the tip though.

[Edit] It worked. I was using make magic iMovie before. "Create a new project" and your tip of import instead of cut, did the trick. Thank you. [/Edit]
