what is the best free ad blocker on the App Store. I use 1Blocker but it doesn’t block ads like it used to so I am looking for an alternative

And they'll update the ruleset and it'll start catching them again. Or you'll actually be participatory and mark the elements it's not blocking so it'll catch them.

Did you think page elements came in screaming "I'm an AD!" or something?

Been using it for a long time, but noticed that lately various pages would get delayed in loading for some reason. Switched back to Adguard for now and it seems to be faster.

I'll give that a shot, thanks. you use the pay version or the free one?

I use Adblock and it was working fine but after a restore pages are hanging for me too.
I might give your suggestion a go

It's a fact that blockers are going to break pages. Element (A) on a page is dependent on element (B) and suddenly element (B) isn't there any more. That's just the way it is. That's why solutions that let you tune are better than those that don't.

I also use Adguard, which works really well. When you install it, open the app first and run the check for filter updates. Once it updates its filter database you can quit it altogether (close it) and it will still work.

Adguard, if you need filters for websites in other languages than English.

Thanks I'll try this
