Handbrake just released a new version that will convert any video file to an iPhone (or other Apple devices) supporting format.

You can also rip DVD's with it if you have VLC installed as well.

I use Videora, don't know if it's still updated and such (haven't used it in a while) but whenever I did use it it works like a charm.

Videora is what I use and it is amazing. Definitely a 10/10 for me. I put 6 DVD's on my iPhone 3GS using this

hi all
Im very new to Mac (only had one about 2 months) after converting frm PC
Have the MacBook Pro 2.53GHz Intel Core Duo 4GB and loving it
Also have iphone and ipod
Just ripped a DVD and it all worked using Handbrake as mentioned above however when sync the iphone says does not recogonize the file type and its greyed out in itunes
Im using Handbrake 0.91 (the newest version)
Do u have change the ouput settings? I dont see an option in presets in top menu bar for iphone as mentioned in earlier post? and i presume the Video Codec should be MPEG4(FFmpeg)? Sorry for the newbie questions. Looked around but this is the only place this stuff mentioned
Thanks in advance

I've used DVD Decrypter to decrypt DVDs (duh) for years, followed by Super to convert them to .mp4. Works like a charm, but Super can take quite a long time to convert long videos (like movies). Short ones are fast, though.

Hand Brake its good for dvd rips and also for those ones u downloaded. Hand brake is the best software. I used all of the softwares. Hand brake is far the best.

I HATE Videora. The new versions are packed with ads. There are tons of reports of malware and spyware coming through on it too depending on your computer security. Go wih something else if you want a truly professional product.
