Best (free) QR reader

Can anyone name a good, adfree QR reader? Also why doesn't Apple build this functionality into the Camera as standard?

I have been happy with QRreader, but it is 99 cents to remove the ads. Not unreasonable IMO.

Scan is on sale for $1.99, but is usually $4.99. I've been using it since 2011 with no issues.

I would go with QRreader otherwise.

The tech industry as a whole didn't bother supporting them.
