Best Game Controller for iPad Pro

I am fairly certain that Apple will announce a new iPad Pro by the end of March. I have $1,200 set aside on an Apple gift card with a plan to purchase a new 12.9 Pro. After the initial iPad purchase and of course Apple care, I wanted to get an Apple Pencil and an external game controller. I know there are various ones made and even found a nice article on them here.

The game vice controller seems to be pretty popular but I think it becomes impractical when using the 12.9" iPad. There are others mentioned in that article but the posters in the comments section seemed surprised that the reviewer didn't choose the SteelSeries Nimbus . So I come to you guys to help answer the question;

What's the best game controller for the 12.9" IPad Pro?
 
I've admittedly only tried the one, but I have been incredibly happy with the SteelSeries Nimbus. Easy pairing, have never had to repair it with my iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac. Charges with Lightning which is a plus, as I have those cables all over my house.

As an added bonus, it works seamlessly with OpenEmu on the Mac if that's your thing.

Again, all of this could be true of other controllers, but I wouldn't know. Bought the Nimbus a year ago and have had zero need to look elsewhere.

I think I'll order one. A lot of people seem to like the Nimbus and it has a lot of game developer support. I see Apple has them in two colors too. Now if the new iPads would just get here so I can have a 12.9" screen then I'll be happy.
 
Another vote for the Nimbus. We have two of them and they have worked great.

We actually even have one of the teeny tiny ones the Stratus.
Thought about using that one with the laptop. It has not been used in about 6 months since we bought the Nimbuses... Nimbi. Lol.

I was going to wait until the new iPads were released but screw it, I just ordered a Nimbus controller. It will be here Tuesday.
 
I got mine on Tuesday but I really haven't had a chance to use it. My air 2 just died for good so I'm stuck on a mini. My daughters have been using it though on our Apple TV while playing Hungry Shark. They love it! Lol
