Does anyone have a recommendation for good, inexpensive ~27 inch monitor that looks good with a MacBook Air 13? I have purchased a few base model, 2015 13" MacBook Airs for my employees and need to get them one monitor each for their desks; I'm assuming that they'll be connecting from Minidisplayport to HDMI.

Many thanks to you all!

My wife connects her 2012 MBA to a Dell 24. This may be more expensive than you're looking for, but these are models that support 1920x1280. The extra vertical space is nice since many apps are menu-heavy, leaving less workspace. I use a Dell 2715Q which can be adjusted to several resolutions, and looks great at each of them. They include cables and multiple port types.

MBAs don't have an HDMI port. You can get Thunderbolt adapters from Apple for the usual adapter price. Monitors connected using Thunderbolt work great.

  • Two USB 3 ports (up to 5 Gbps)
  • Thunderbolt 2 port (up to 20 Gbps)
  • MagSafe 2 power port
  • SDXC card slot
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack
