I need a really good graph program for school. The best i know is Graph, but it only works for Windows.

Excel is not good enough, neither is OmniGraphSketcher.

It doesn't have to be free, though that would be nice.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Angelwatt:

I didn't realize Mac came with that :p God i feel stupid now.

Anyways, it did EXACTLY what i need it to do. thank you!

dbwie: I'll definitely look into it if I need to do something Grapher can't. Thanks!

Argh. It doesn't seem like it's possible to save a graph an Grapher like an image so i can insert it into word. Is there something I
m not getting or is it just not possible?

Easy, you can go to File>Export, and export it any format you want, or you just can right-click over the graph and click on Copy As, it will show you the available formats.

I hope this helps you =P.

There are many good graphing apps for the Mac. Excel will do some kinds of graphs as will PowerPoint, but neither are graphing apps. OminiGraphSketcher does an excellent job with certain kinds of graphs. I don't recall any school work that would not have been beautifully done using OmniGraphSketcher if it had been available. DeltaGraph is an excellent application for business and scientific presentation and analysis. There are many other commercial, shareware, and freeware graphing apps for MacOS X. My personal favorite is KaleidaGraph, an app that faithfully follows the path beaten by Cricket Graph, the first Mac graphing app. Oh, and if you want free, then try Plot.

We can be much more effective with our suggestions if you tell which kinds of graphs you need the app to do.

OmniGrapgSketcher is really nice, but it couldn't make graphs from equations like y=ba^x. Grapher could do that though :)
