What is your Best guess @ Trade-in value from Apple for a maxed out late 2016 15" MacBook Pro?

+ 2TB storage

Purchase price was > $4000

It's been awesome (no problems with keyboard), but would love a 16" screen.

At most $2530 (according to their site). Why don’t you just request a quote? Takes 1 minute.

For some silly reason I was thinking i couldn't get an estimate till the new 16" come out.

... ok tried it...

odd
It's telling me my MPB serial # is invalid
I'm doing a direct copy and paste from the "About This Mac" field into the form.

I just traded in an identically spec-ed MBP. Apple is offering $1270. You will get a bit more from other trade-in sites ($1485 was the max I found for ”flawless” condition).

No pain here... I adore this laptop; it's a huge productivity tool.

The hard drive space is awesome - all database, work, and fam files can be locally stored. Love the silky smooth mouse, the gorgeous screen. NO lag. NO keyboard problems.

$112 / month (assuming a June 2020-ish replacement) or $118 a month if 16" is announced in calendar Q1.

Interesting. I have an identical machine and use it daily along with my iPad Pro. I plugged my serial # in and Apple told me to recycle it. They don't want it. Lol

The used value of the 2016 and 2017 15" MBP is really low. I've been toying with the idea of picking up a like new 2017 15" model just to run Catalina. Looking on eBay, even very clean models with some AppleCare left are going for $1,400 or less.

You’ve must have stated it wasn’t working properly. I was able to get 600 for a 2014 15 inch. That price worked for me because both the keyboard and display had wear issues.

The offer might also be based on how many they have lying around to refurbish/resell when you get the quote.

Good for you. Strange thing happened. I went back and put in my info again and guess what? Now Apple says it has some value: $1060. Lol.....go figure

fyi - People on Swappa lists the 2016 Touch Bar 15" 512GB storage version at $1435.

If the rest of the laptop were identical to mine, what should be the price increase for going from 512 gb to 2 TB on a 2016 MBP?

On a new MBP, going from 512 gb to 2 TB is :

Something is wonky with Apple's trade in page, because even after putting in my serial number it makes me slog through the processor selection, etc. - the point of putting in the serial is so that doesn't need to be done, and typically isn't done on their site after putting in the serial.
