JayBird bluebuds x - the best in its kind!!!!

Totally agree.

I had the Jaybird Freedoms for the last year, and just upgraded to the Bluebuds X last week.

Easily the best headphones I've ever had for working out... no wires, great sound, amazing battery life, lifetime sweatproof warranty and great customer support from Jaybird.

They stay put regardless of what I am doing.

They are pricey, but worth it.

okay. here:

www.earphonesolutions.com

thats where I source all my universals from. go there and look through the guides.

lol

i am in the uk by the way so not sure if they ship to england

you dont have to buy them from there...you can just use the guide to answer your questions...

and yes we are talking about earphones. Universals are earphones as you know them. for my band i get all my earphones from that site. The alternative is to get customs (get a mould of your ears and get them custom made for you, and only you). Thats where the term universal comes from.

Are the apple ear pods actually any good?!?

I really wanted to like the Apple EarPods but sadly they sucked. First they kept falling out of my ear even when I wasn't moving. And while I thought the clarity was slightly and I mean slightly better then the junk crap old Apple earbuds and yes I mean junk I still didn't think the sound quality was any better. Just my thoughts. After 5 min or so of using them I put them back in the box and never used them again.

What I would recommend is the skullcandy fix. They are designed to fit in your ear and not fall out which they do a pretty good job of doing. The sound quality is awesome too. Plus they have a great lifetime warranty and skullcandy is pretty good about claims on their warranties.

yeah heard about the ear pods falling out...something that obviously wont suit my needs since i will be running on the treadmill
are skull candy not notoriously bad for music....i.e. just another ''brand'' rather than delivery quality?
plus are they good for the gym?
tbh i was going to go for the bose sie2's but i dont really want to spend £120 on earphones just to use at the gym especially when i lose earphones quiet easily.

Also Amazon are selling them for less than £30 whilst the skull candy website states almost £60:eek:

Back in the day they may have but they have gotten so much better they I gave them another chance and I like what I heard.

Koss PortaPro.

I personally don't like earbuds / IEMs when exercising; I'd rather be able to hear what's going on around me as well. PortaPros are very well regarded for their relatively low price yet high sound quality. They're lightweight, comfortable, and will stay on your head (I use mine while running).

im thinking of getting these?

can you use them only on a bluetooth device? i cant use them with my shuffle can i?

What I use:

Running: Sennheiser PMX680i. Current version is PMX685i. They don't block ambient sounds, important for outdoor running (I only do treadmills if there's black ice or lightning) Importantly, these let the sweat out of my ears. They are wired, not bluetooth, but I run with an old 4th gen nano and leave my phone behind intentionally.

Gym/Other: Plantronics Backbeat GO 2 bluetooth headphones.

I love these, it does not fall off when running or on a machine, no wires, and the price alone is a win. been using it for about 2months now zero complaints.

The behind the head look has never looked good to me. How is the isolation and sound on this though? Can you get a good seal with this design?

One more for the Bluebud X. Best sounding BT headphones. I ended up getting rid of mine though because I needed the money, but they sound great!. I now just use cheap-ish Sony Active headphones. They basically flat but I enjoy the earhooks and the iDevice control that I picked up for like 20 bucks. Good enough for the gym in my opinion.

it seal pretty snug and its padded so no discomfort from long wearing. I have worn other behind the ear headphones the tradition thin foam padded ones and it would always have discomfort after a while but, not with these. It's not uncommon for me to wear them all day or at least have them around my neck for calls and just listening to music. very please from the money, would definitely buy another set if I ever lost these.
