Most of the iPhone 6 users are looking for an iPhone 6 that is slim and thin, well for me I would love to go outdoors as well as always doing some mountain hiking and other outdoor related stuff every month, I ‘m looking for an rugged case for my new iPhone 6, my officemate recommend this one he said it good and rally tough.

Well I just want a second opinion any suggestions or rugged case that you used before that is good, heavy duty?

    :)

Everyone on these forums have hyped up UAG cases but so far my experiences have been not great. They have either fit poorly and just flat out molded poorly. I would not call them heavy duty or rugged either.

UAG cases are the worst. Id prefer Spigen, Otterbox, Lifeproof, Ballistic all over them.

Check out Pelican cases. They make protective gear for firearms and the gov.

Had a chance to checkout their new cases today and they look legit.

I rock the Spigen Tough Armor. I have used the likes of Otterbox in the past but wanted something tough but not as bulky.

Two armor style cases that have caught my eye are the Lunatik Taktik Extreme and Bric Plus

They seem to be everything proof and there are some serious torture tests on youtube for the Lunatik Taktik Extreme. However neither are available yet for the 6/6+. I suggest everyone contact these companies urging them to make them.

Those are great, hope Bric does a Plus case. Lunatik not available for awhile.

Got a Griffin Survivor for my 6+ because it was all they had in my local phone shop. It makes it so big I can barely get my hands around it. Easier to get on than previous gen Survivor cases but I needed something before my phone got wrecked at work (have already dropped it twice today!). Really like the look of that Bric Plus.

Otterbox is overrated. Hideous looking cases and feel cheap for what they are.

I bought a pelican pro gear voyager at the AT&T store, pricey and more than a little bulky. It's a $@()! to remove (was only able to do once), but it'll will protect the phone from drops.

@ alchematron, thanks for posting the Bric case link. Out of my league right now, but looks like a terrific case. Otterboxes are cheap and overrated. Mine broke from gentle removal within 3 weeks of purchase.

I just got the i-Blazon Armor in from Amazon. It's not for me -- too thick -- but seems very protective and it was under $20 so decent price too. If you want the Gold Standard then go OtterBox Defender.

    Oh no. That's bad news.

We have always used griffin survivor for all of our devices. I ordered the Survivor slim for my 6 plus, and my husband's 6, but they are being delivered Tuesday. My 4s looks brand new after being in the SS case, and I always recommend them.

Any pics please. And is it a pain to remove the phone from case once installed.
    Thanks Bryan.

Got the pelican case today and am extremely pleased.

Only issue was with the included screen protector. Too big for the phone and when you put the phone in the case it bubbles up the protector. Without he protector to excellent. Great fitment.

And yes once you put the case on its near impossible to get it off. This isn't a bad thing in my opinion - don't want the case ripping apart during a fall.

I'm interested in the pelican. The 2 slats that go across the back, are they rubber? Do finger prints show up on them?

They are rubber - just put my fingers all over them and no finger prints. You can get this case at AT&T, call before you go alot of stores are sold out of them. Case is made by a company that makes stuff for the military.

    ----------

Pelican case is fairly thin too - way thinner then any otterbox or full body case I have ever seen. I will upload a side-view pic shortly.

Anybody ever heard of the Hitcase? Appears extremely durable. 33ft water submersion. Switchable camera lenses. Looks interesting, but I've never seen one or heard of them...

No I was tempted at the AT&T store. I thought to open the case you insert a coin to open the bottom of the case. Why is it so hard to uninstall? And that shot of the screen protector, does it not seat properly??

How is the flaps on the bottom. Any interference with mic or speaker? In your pics (6+ I presume) did you remove the screen protector?
