Best imac config for Aperture?

Hi Guys

Price is not an issue. I already have a macpro but want an Imac for wedding reception slideshows of my photography - I want the extra grunt over a laptop.

Anyone know if the quad 2.93 would be better than the dual 3.6ghz?

The quad would be faster, so if you want raw power, go for that.

Quad would be faster for sure- but for doing photo slideshows I'd say just make sure you've got plenty of RAM- The CPU should be fast enough.

You'd want the i7 iMac for maximum efficiency. Aperture uses the gpu (lots of vRAM) and does hyperthreading.
