If you check out the Head-Fi classifieds, you'll see a few Triple.Fi 10's for sale (by Ultimate Ears). They are good, and very inexpensive now-a-days.

I have the IE8's also, but when I compare to my TF10's, I think of them as bloated, bass heavy, muffled trebles, etc etc. They are also fatiguing. But all that is not to say that I don't love them, because I do.

I am currently giving a lot of thought to JH5, JH11, or even JH13. Not sure which way to go. Something tells me to go JH5, because I don't listen to the most minute details of music. For instance, I have never even touched a headphone amp in my life, and don't intend to

The JH13's work very well without an amp I thought?

The reason why the UE's can be had so cheap is because of a firesale that occurred on Amazon a couple weeks ago.

Heh. Yeah :D I just got my UE10's in and tried to sell of my NIB UE5vi's and had couldn't get my price anywhere near what they were in November because UE10's could be had for 150 bucks shipped. Oh well. Still upgraded for about 15 bucks.

A word of warning concerning super.fi's: don't buy these!
I had 3 pairs in 3 years, time after time they broke down, and since Logitech took ever service has evaporated totally. No answer, no service, don't go there!

My UE4vi's broke down and ultimate ears did take a while to get me a replacement set, but they did deliver and upgrade me to a new set since those were out of stock. It was probably the cable since that's the biggest complaint.

My point was that I'm not sure I would fully appreciate the JH13's because I don't listen for every last detail.

Yeah, if it wasn't for that sale, I would never have the TF10's. I was late, so I bought them from eBay for 150 (someone flipping). I was never interested in them, but they are very nice indeed.
