I know this has been posted before...but there's been a couple of new releases so I want to stay up to date.

I am looking to buy a new pair of earphones because my UE super.fi 4vi's just died. Only limitations are sub-$200 and they have to have built-in mic controls.

So far, I've narrowed it down to the Etymotic hf2s, the Shure SE115m+, and the new Beats by Dre Tour with ControlTalk. Feel free to add any others that are better.

Any suggestions?

PS. I listen to a lot of trance music so sound clarity is a big factor

I have the Etymotic HF2's, and I love them, the highs are excellent, but the bass isn't uber-powerful (depending if you're a bass junkie). I put bass boost on the iPhone equalizer, and I love the sound. It's a very pure sound, BUT, and that's a big BUT, you have to find a very good fit with the ear pieces, or you will be disappointed. I've noticed that most negative reviews of these earphones, is people not getting a tight fit, and thus sound escaping. Overall, I give them a B+, Maybe an A-.
