Just purchased a new iPad Pro 11" with Cellular and I'm looking for the best / cheapest prepaid data plan that I can pay for as needed since I won't be needing the cellular option all the time. I've found a couple but figured I'd come on here and see what is working for other people in the same situation.

Thank you in advance!

If you don't use cellular a lot, the T-Mobile 5GB for 150 days for $10 is a great deal. I've even used the 5GB in less than 150 days and was able to re-up though the 150 days had not passed. You won't find it on-line, it's only offered through the Cellular Data plan options on the iPad itself.

That is an old plan and isn’t offered everywhere, even thru the app. Aa a current customer, it wasn’t available to me via the app or in talking with customer service.
[doublepost=1560703551][/doublepost]I believe T-Mobile and Verizon offer 2Gb for $10 / monthly. It has been a while since I checked.

Surprising. My old one had lapsed but I was just able to get a new 5GB/150 days/$10 through cellular plans on my iPP.

I'll have to check this out. You said you can do this right in the settings of the iPad?

Yes. As I mentioned, I just signed up for it under "Cellular Plans -> Add a New Plan -> T-Mobile" under Settings -> Cellular Data.

From T-Mobile;

Your payment for 150 DAY PASS 5 GB NA has been successfully processed for your iPad (cellular data number xxxxx).

Payment details:
Payment method: Card saved on file
Total: $10.00

That’s still offered?

Still shows up for me (unlocked iPad that's only been used with Verizon SIM). Maybe it's only allowed for specific "unlocked" models? Perhaps Air 2 to 2nd gen Pro or iPad 6th gen?

It is odd. For one, many times when I want to login to extend, things error out on T-Mobile's side. I activated a new plan a week ago for my replacement iPad Pro (screen broke), and mistakenly allowed photos to use cellular (paid $10 so I could download photos via cellular :( ) 2 days later, out of data. It took 2 days before I had the option to renew account.

If I stay with T-Mobile for phone use, I may just move it onto the account for the $20/month unlimited
