I did see the Otterbox thread in this section. After seeing an Otterbox iphone case I was ready to buy one for my wife's ipad2, but then I went to Amazon and saw a slew of bad reviews. One type that stood out was from people who were sold on Otterbox, but had decided to pass on the iPad2 case. Another that said either the corners or speaker grill was not protected?

I'm going to keep looking. What I want is something that protects the edges of the iPad if it is dropped from 4'. I realize this might not be realistic. My wife would like a color other than black. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks!

PCMag.com Best iPad 2 cases. 40 some cases listed in this article. Of interest:

*Incipio iPad2 Silicrylic Hard Shell Case $50.

*Speck Products Pixel Skin $50.

*Bodyguardz Armor Carbon Fiber $30.

*Kensington Black Belt $40.

*Mareware CEO $50.

*Street Skin $40. Looks intriquing. It looks like it offers scratch protection, but the way the install picks look at the linked sight it's questionable how much impact protection it offers. Anyone have one of these?

Thanks for sharing some of those look Great

Your welcome.

Unfortunately I've not been able to look at any of these cases in person, but I've decided on going with the Incipio Silicrylic Hard Shell case (magenta/grey) which is available on Amazon for about $28. No matter what the stated retail price I check it on Amazon and usually save. :)

I actually like the Bodyguardz carbon fiber one. Have you bought any one the ones you linked?

I picked the one on post #3 ordered it today. The reason I decided against the Bodyguardz was because I don't want any case with adhesive. In the Bodyguardz link there is an install video.

the best value-for-money ipad 2 case is by far the CoverBuddy

best protection for the back

works great with the smartcover
