I have to agree that the "otterbox" is great but definitely too big... I find that TPU is the best for me in that it offers great protection and a slim fit. U can incorporate a clip or leather case to go along with the TPU as opposed to the bulky Otterbox. The TPU case I have is like a gel but durable like rubber. I have alot of them actually... Keep them color coordinated as I say... lol hit me up (PM) for more info!

Glad to see I'm not the only case addict! :)

I'm also looking for leather but I can't decide on what to get... spent many hours surfing the web and liked almost everything I found but nothing seems perfect, like the right combination of looks and protection. I don't like plastic or silicone shells, make the iphone look cheap

Leather is a bit luxurious if you will, but once u take ur phone out of its case (that is if the case is a leather belt clip) then you still run the risk of dropping/cracking/breaking your iphone. I figure the slim TPU can/will/does fit in the leather cases and protects the phone outside of the "leather" case while giving you the option to go with different styles, i.e. clear, color, opaque, solid, etc. Indeed the TPU might come off as cheesy or cheap to some but it does not skip out on value and protection. If its looks a person is concerned with then they dont want a case at all... only IMO!:apple::p

I really love iphone 4....this phone is really the best phone for me...its like your bringing a cellphone, digital camera and a laptop as one... nice product...=)

Guess I don't really have a favorite case but I've using the Incipio Feather and I really like it. They have snazzy colors to choose from.

I really like my Apple Bumper, I've used a few different cases from Incase, Incipio and Belkin but always went back to using the bumper.

After reading these case reviews for a couple of days I decided to get a Switcheasy TRIM. I love it! Very well made, pretty slim, tons of extras. Nice!

I'm using the Belkin transparent case. Hard plastic, all ports are fully open, not too slippery.

I have an OtterBox... it's big.

As to leather cases, I used a Sena Magnetic Flip with my 3G. Beautiful case, great leather, worked perfectly... until the snap unsnapped while I was driving (maybe from my seatbelt?) and when I got out of my car, it let the phone drop right out onto the hard surface of the gas station tarmac. That's when I bought a 3GS. Sent Sena a note about the issue, they sent me another case (!). So I have two Sena 3G cases, one new in a box. I'm now using an i4. Not that I hate Sena- I bought a leather belt clip case of theirs for when I go walking, so my UltimateEars buds don't have a connector problem as the phone slides slides around in my pocket in the Belkin. Nice case, snap is on top so no issues there.

Ive seen many leather cases that allow using the phone without having to remove it from, I like those who only snap on the back (without screen cover) but there's also many flip top models out...

Have had several cases, these are my two favorites:

I LOVE the feel of the apple bumper. it's what i'm currently using. Feels nice in the hand and looks sexy, just dislike the wide open back.

other than the bumper my favorite full cases are probably the Incipio NGP and Switcheasy Vulcan

See my note above about the elago S4. It's similar to the bumper but covers the back.

I was looking at the Switcheasy Vulcan, but it does not look like they have one for the Verizon iPhone 4

All their iP4 products now appear to be compatible with the Verizon model.

Amazon vendors seem to be selling back stock of the original cases from before there was a Verizon version.

I'm personally a fan of the Switcheasy CapsuleRebel and the Trim (the above mentioned Vulcan is also quite good, but if you bought an otterbox, I'd assume you're looking for something tougher). I'm a college student and I walk everywhere, regardless of the weather, so my iPhone doubles as my iPod and needs something sturdier than the usual snap on polycarbonate case or soft tpu if its to survive sidewalks, classrooms, and bars (and all manners of shenanigans and surfaces a phone encounter in the ensuing situations). The Rebel offers the advantages of both materials in a relatively slimmer package. The looks aren't for everyone, and I don't type on my phone while its on a table, so the spine doesn't bother me. Those are its two biggest knocks that I've heard from its critics. Its not easy to remove, so its not for people who like to swap cases either.

I picked out the Switcheasy Trim for my sister and its a great case that offers a fair amount of protection while maintaining the phone's original shape and displays the Apple logo (if you care about that). It does a much better job at absorbing shock with its bumper-esque edge than any thin snap on polycarbonate case that I've handled.

The Candyshell by speck is also supposed to be quite good but a friend of mine actually managed to crack it. I'd still recommend it though, because he put it through hell and it held up well, all considered. Anyway, he got a Pixel HD by Speck to replace it. He's quite happy with it.

Some cases are more about style, while others like the otterbox are all about function. With that in mind, only you can decide for yourself what said "best" case is because your criteria will differ from others based on your needs. For me that was tough but form fitting, while being more pocket friendly/lint-free than TPU or silicone. Notice that the types of cases being recommended in here are as varied as the people who come to these forums.

Check some reviews on youtube ;)

I've been using the PureGear Shell & Holster with my iPhone 4 for about two months now. Prior to the PureGear I was using an Apple Bumper. I find the PureGear product to be a tremendous improvement. In the two months I've used it, it's become my favorite cell phone case/holster ever (any phone).

I was so impressed with the PureGear product, I reviewed it on my blog, complete with high-quality photos:

My favorite iPhone 4 case at the present time is the new Otterbox Reflex. I love slider cases and am glad that Otterbox decided to make one.
