HI all

I am trying to find the best iphone 4 screen protector. One that is easy to put on and 2 that does not leave any residue marks if taken off, and 3 does not ruin or spoil the retina display of the iphone 4 while it is on my phone.

I have seen one at the apple store the Power Support HD Anti-Glare Film Set for iPhone 4 however read some mixed reviews about this one. Anyone recommend anything? I am in the UK so if there is something available, would need to be shipped to UK.

Thanks in advance

Thanks saberon for the reply. However do you feel your retina display is still good on your handset with this protector on. As one of the people who left a review on apple website regarding this seems to think it made the screen display look more like a 3GS one.

Let me put it this way. In no way did adding the protector make me feel like I was losing my retina display, it still looks simply amazing. There is a very very very slight fuzz to the screen, you don't even notice it after a few hours but it is so worth it.

Interesting, I bought the HD Anti Glare from Apple and absolutely hated it. Completely killed the screen for me. Fuzzy, and hard to read. Had a great feel though. I dont know, maybe it was a bad one (hadnt tried the other one yet) But I put the Invisible Sheild on that I had and liked it better (screen wise better, I hate the feel of it) and also ordered the PS Crystal one that Ill prolly put on at some point in time.

I liked everything else about the PS AG though, the feel and fit were awesome, just couldnt stand what it did (for me) to the screen.

I don't think the apple store sells the crystals though. I've never tried them personally. I'm staring at my keyboard now and it's hard to even see the fuzz when staring at it. The reduction in fingerprints is worth it alone.

i don't like anti glare also...getting rid of fingrprint is nice but it did negatively affect the display in my case.
went to power support crystal clear and never looked back since.
true the fingerprints are there but it takes like less than a second to wipe

Logging a vote for the PS Crystal. Wish they sold them in the Apple Store (only AG version there). I also went with Glossy on my MBP, so it's really about personal preference. I will say, with the Crystal, you honestly cannot tell there's anything there at all.

I had a Zagg IS and although it had a good feel to it, it had an orange peel look to it on an angle. I removed it when I got my Otterbox case as the two screen protectors are not compatible when used together.

If you are in the market for a protective case for your phone, I do recommend the Otterbox. It is bulkier than some cases but I feel quite a bit more safer with it.

ZAGG insvisibleSHIELD is very good, and second best that I know about, but it's important to apply it correctly - if not, it will feel like orange peel.

The very best screen protection is making sure you wouldn't need one in the first place.

On a new Verizon iPhone, PowerSupport crystal films have been amazing for me. If it weren't for looking closely at the edges around the holes, (home button, ear speaker, camera) I don't think I could even tell there's anything on the phone.

I'd recommend getting the package that has front and back films - as I got just the front films and then decided I wanted the back film too. It saves quite a bit if you get them together rather than separately.

Hey all
Well I decided to get the Power Support HD Anti-Glare Film Set for iPhone 4 today and it's good on my iPhone as far as I can see. Yes a little fuz does exsist but it's not all that bad. Main thing is no finger marks on screen and anti glare is good. Does feel a bit weird when I feel the screen with my finger. But it's a matter of getting used to it I guess :)

+1 it's the only protector I use. Just give it a shot OP. Only 15 bucks for 2 at the Apple store.

Hey I got it today :) got the girl in the genius bar to put it on. But when I got home noticed dust was underneath it well a tiny small ammont. So I ended up using the 2nd one. But Its on now and glad I have it :)

I have been using screen protectors from eBay like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280580906280

For years. Never had a problem.

Agreed, I used to buy very expensive screen protectors, they were hard to apply, most needed soapy water and all that crap, they did not look good.

The cheap ebay screen protectors are the best and the easiest to apply.

Just make sure you buy a screen protector with two peel off tapes like Coaster posted.

EDIT: If you do some searching on ebay you can also find a screen protector with a uni cut out for the speaker and front camera, with the camera cut out having the rounded shape, like this one...

They are great cause you won't get bubbles like separately cutout speaker and front camera screen protectors do.

After reading some reviews in the accessories forum, I went with wrapsol ultra but used the wet install method. People don't warn you enough how bad it will look for a day or 2, but just leave it alone and let it dry and is completely clear and free of any bubbles whatsoever. Clearest protector I've seen to date and let's me go sans case.

I just got my iPhone 4 and had the same question. I ended up going with SGP Steinheil Oleophobic screen protector, and it is like nothing is there.

Finger prints don't show up. They only show up if you touched something greasy (like food), but even then, it wipes away in one swipe.

Clarity is not sacrificed AT ALL. Sometimes I wonder if I put on protector incorrectly. It's literally like nothing's there. I wouldn't think twice about buying it again. It comes 2 in a pack for about $15

I really would like to get the Power Support Crystal front and back film. However, I did not order from their site because their shipping, by ground, was expensive. It was almost as expensive as the screen protectors itself. Is this true?

You can get them from Amazon with free shipping.

I saw the crystal film from Amazon. However, the price was still steep compared to the original $14.95 without the shipping.

Is there a trick to getting screen protectors on perfectly? I've went through 3 of them so far on my iphone 4 where either they have bubbles that i can't smooth out or i noticed i've put it on off centered.
