Been using the POWER SUPPORT flat bumper for a long time but last month I came home drunk and slammed my phone down and the volume band snapped, and then the lightning cable section snapped too. It still holds up for the time being as the inner section is still holding the frame.

I've got an AL13 coming soon, been a kick starter backer and got a shipping confirmation about 3 days ago! Can't wait.

Flat bumper was VERY good, I thought it was my final case but the I wanted to try the AL13 since it looks higher quality and the durability looks quite nice.

Picked up the Power Support Flat Bumper not long ago.

Pros: it looks great, is well-made, comes with accessories, and was made in Japan.

Cons: Lack of tactile feedback on buttons, obviously. Reaching the mute switch; I need to use my index finger, a thumb won't do. Sharp edges. With my 4S I used the official bumper, a Griffin Reveal and one cheap plastic case. So when I got the 5, I first got a cheap, clear flexible case for my 5. While the Power Support definitely feels more "premium", I can't help but think that it's uncomfortable to hold compared to my cheap jelly case.

I am slowly getting used to the edges, especially considering that for a long time I used an eel skin back cover on my 4S from Valentine Goods that was a bit sharp around the edges.

I like the colorant case, where can I find one/do you guys sell them? I can't seem to find the patchwork official site, could you lead me in the right direction? Just want to see all they have to offer and find out a little about the company. I've never heard of them before, but I like what I see!

We will be having them as soon as the stocks are available to us. stay tuned! ;)

Glad you enjoyed using the Flat bumper. The raised edges are no doubt a little distracting sometimes but it serves the purpose of "lay on table" protection.

Rec'd/ installed today... "Cleave" found on ebay for $15.00 US. Used with a Spigen GlasTR/ Aluminum Home button and a BodyGuardz Carbon Fiber rear/ side skin... Kinda sexy metal(bare Aluminum/ black painted) light weight, ergo bumper...

Does it have any effect on the signal strength ? and the ebay link of the item would be great, thanks :)

1 dollar shipped from ebay. Tpu china made bumper. Best so far i had.
Used spigen sgp neo hybrid but it stains so easily. Otterbox too bulky, switcheasy colors too bulky. Cina ftw

have a budget of $10 and I want a bumper which is thin and will protect my phone from drops. I had the casesquare (http://amzn.com/B009NIN81I)
bumper but it got very loose on my phone. I want something nice like the colorant b1 or the thin edge but they're too expensive. I am looking into the photive bumper to the poetic atomosphere( Ik it's a case). Btw my headphones have a little thick plug so I need enough room for it to fit.

I also have the Power Support Bumper and after 4 months the area around the mute switch has cracked. I had a feeling these very thin areas would be prone to this and I tried to be as careful as possible. It still works cause like a previous poster said the inner rubber band is what holds it all together.

In the 4 months I had it I would say it was one of my favorite cases because of how thin and light it is. The minimalist design also caught my eye. But of course it has its cons like the hard to press sleep/wake button and the durability.

I just ordered this myself. I had the real one in white and silver but it didn't look all that nice. I just ordered the black and silver one. Should be here in 5-7 days.

Did this effect your signal at all? Cell, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS? Does it fit snug to the phone?

After about 5 months, mine cracked around the power port. Now it's only has a back film on it.

I am going to have to agree here this is probably one of the best bumpers around for the 5

If you like cheap plastic that slips off your phone, then yeah.

Any real owner knows this thing slips off-center all the time. I will admit it looks great when on properly, and would be perfect if they could get it to stay in place. But as-is, I would not recommend it.

They need to make the plastic rim more rigid, and incorporate some sort of tacky adhesive between the phone and the silicone sleeve, and between the sleeve and the plastic.

I contacted Spigen about it, and they are well aware of it. In fact, they said they designed it this way since the first-gen owners complained about the bumpers snapping when they tried to put it on the phone (thus make it more flexible and prone to slipping).

I've been through two of them, and they are exactly the same.

I have gone though about 5-6 bumpers. Yet I have not to have tried this for the iPhone 5. I had it for the 4/4s. The rubber was really tight and plastic wasn't an issue as much as the rubber slipping off. If you think this bumper is crap then what's a good one ?!?
Edit: got the case a week ago no problems at all. No slipping. So still the best bumper hands down

Funny enough I must be the only one who has not had it slip off once. Never ran into a problem of pulling it out of my pocket and the case slipping off. It's my favorite bumper. Could it be a tighter fit? Sure but as far as overall performance, it's the best bumper around. It has the best button tactile feel.

I had the same experience. The area near the power button showed a tiny crack. After another month, there was another crack near the mute switch. When I removed the case, the inner rubbery portion was at one spot detached from the harder outer plastic material.

My guess is that the inside material expanded, causing the cracks. It is now unusable, and I've switched to a Magpul, which I'm very happy with.

Disappointing from Power Support. I've always been a huge fan of their products.

This brass knuckle bumper case is great for the iOS 6 green felt crowd.

I still have this bumper and haven't used it in awhile. While the ip5 version (SLIM) is better than the version I had for the 4/4S, it does indeed slip from time to time.

I've been using the Zagg bumper and I really like it. Very thin profile, barely know it's even on there.

Took a look and the reviews both on the Zagg site and on Amazon have been less than stellar. Problems with the rubber detaching from the frame over time.
