Man, nobody for the white 3G. While it's not better than the original, it is still a sweet looking phone. I think I am more glad that I have the white one because apparently, nobody likes it.......oh well.

Idk why people like the 1st gen so much. It's not completely ugly, but to ke it definetly is not the best looking! Te way that it isn't rounded inthe back makes it seem like a brick. And the plastic buttons and plastic bottom look horrible. The plastic bottom where the speakers looks like an even cheaper plastic than the whole back of the 3G. And the fact that you can see the sides of the phone from just looking at the front is pretty bad to me.

I had a white 3g but they didn't have any white 3gs's in stock and I had to buy one that day (had to ship the 3g to the ebay buyer) so picked up the black. I look at my mother in laws original iPhone (my wifes old one) and wish they still looked like that... so of course I voted for the original (2g;)) iPhone.

Yea, imo I don't like the original design of the iphone, especially the piece of black plastic on the back. The 3G/3G S although is not as durable as the original iphone, has a much more sleeker and modern look to it. I wish the plastic casing on the back of the 3g/3gs was more resistant to scratching though...

My decision to get a white iPhone 3G was purely practical, it doesn't show smudges like the black. If they came out with a matt black finish I might be persuaded.

I don't get why apple would make a "matt" back for the iPhone. That would mean that the white iPhone will actually get dirty, which is VERY dumb idea.
