Best iPhone Games 2008

I'd replace Galcon with Lux... most of the others are ok. I hadn't heard of some of those before.

It'd be even better if Rogue Vertex was on there 😛 But I'm biased 😛
 
Galcon, Fastlane, and Chess With Friends are what I play the most, and I've downloaded a lot of games. Fieldrunners and Aurora: The Arena are also great.

I've been too busy to get into Brothers In Arms, Hero Of Sparta, Warfare Incorporated, Legend Of Feanor, or Vay. They all from the little I've played are not bad for being on an iPhone platform (well Vay is just oldschool RPG nostalgia).

It's kind of hard to recommend a chess app when we don't know the measure you are using for best. In terms of learning new moves? Online realtime play? Games that don't require you sit one time for a long time to finish? Chess With Friends is my favorite, cause I don't usually have time to sit down and finish a game from start to finish, followed by Deep Green, it has a great interface, nice look and animations, and it usually kicks my ass on the easiest setting (I'm rated at 1350-1400 on Yahoo chess).

i can't remember the last iphone game that i tried and didn't delete after about 10 minutes. some of you people must be EASILY amused.
 
I am a certifiable game junkie having 88 games on my phone..

The best I have found is ishoot. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Is is true that, bejewelled 2 doesn't save your high scores?
I was going to grab it until I saw a few of the reviews.

Edit: I couldn't resist the temptation...and just got it. It does log your high scores...however, I don't like how the board resets for each round. But, that's just a personal preference.
 
Apple's texas hold'em is the best developed game I have found on the iphone. However, if snood ever came to the app store i know that would be an instant hit.
 
I dont think i've seen anyone mention Blocks Classic. Definitely my most played game. That and Blocked. The Iron Man game is also pretty cool!

Field Runners is on sale, I might get it seeing as so many people have reccomended it. Man, I've spent too much money on games 😛

edit: also Copter. That game is addictive. 10655 is my top score so far.
 
Gotta say... iShoot is definitely up there for me. I just have the free version (iShoot Lite) which provides more than adequate entertainment for those more bored periods... 😉

Galcon is amazing. I can't wait to see what games come out this year.

everyone who havent check out GeoDefense, that game rox, can't stop playing it.

I wish someone would port Master of Orion II for the iPhone. I keep my old G3 tower around just for that game
 
Here is also another voter for sim city and chopper i love these two games btu other else also good.
