You can unlock any locked phone but you can't unlock them free of cost. Either you pay network provider to provide you an unlock code and get your phone unlocked legally or pay an individual who can unlock your phone using a software (obviously unlocking a phone without company's permission is considered illegal and doing so shall void the phone's warranty).

Once you get your phone unlocked illegally and later if you face any problem with the phone, the company wont assist you anymore so in my opinion the best way to avoid these problem is to contact your network provider and request an unlock code by paying a small fee. I have already unlocked some mobile phones of friends including mine too which ended up getting damaged in an attempt to get it unlocked using a software. I strongly advice either you buy an unlocked phone or contact your network provider. Thanks, James 🙂

1) Network provider DO NOT give you a code to unlock an iPhone. They put your IMEI into Apple's white list database.

2) Voiding the warranty is NOT the same as illegal. It's legal to JB in US.

3) If the iPhone is unlock via software then you can always restore to factory setting and bring it in for warranty.

Is there any way to unlock the iPhone 4 on BB 04.12.01? www.ultrasnow.eu claims to be able to do it by selling me some software. Sounds a bit dodgy to me because surely if the software exists, it would already be out there.

Anyone used them or know anything about them?

Any site selling software is a scam.
That statement was already made in this thread.

The jailbreak and unlock tools are all FREE from the hackers.

There is no software or hardware unlock for your phone.
Your option is to pursue an IMEI unlock.

Yeah never buy jailbroken or unlocked software, it's all a scam. If it's real, it should be 100% free.
