I'm going to college soon and I'm looking to buy a laptop lock. I looked up old threads, but things change in just a few months. Any recommendations?

I have never actually seen one in person, what is the benefit of having one?

I'm asking this as an actual question, not being an ass or anything.

If it's security, just put a password.
If it's actual security, they can just steal the damn thing and tinker with it later.

That's just how I think anyway.
