Just bought the VX Revolution mouse from Tiger Direct. What an EXCELLENT mouse. I have no gripes or anything about it.

    Only takes one battery.

    VERY responsive.

A search feature which allows you to highlight a word and then it automatically is searched by Google or Yahoo!

A magnify feature which lets you zoom in on a website or word document.

The clickwheel is the best part. There are 2 modes you can choose from. Hyper fast or precision. Precision has the clicking that we're all familiar with when we scroll through websites. Hyper fast has no clicking, so you just spin that baby and it will keep going for a good 10 seconds. Great for scrolling through huge documents or finding an old email.

Overall it is the BEST mouse on the market in my opinion. Paying 20 bucks or whatever it is more for the higher end one is not worth it from what I've heard. And for $30 at Tiger Direct it's great, that's with the $20 mail in rebate.

    Awesome is an understatement

BTW for those of you who don't know this is a Logitech mouse. Logitech VX Revolution is the full name. Gee I should be their spokesman! haha.

it is indeed a good mouse. can't decide if i like the MX better or not. both are comfortable. but the VX wins for portability.

its wireless, but has a tiny dongle. has a built in holder in the mouse as well. that automatically powers it off when inserted, and on when ejected.

That's the same mouse that I've been using with my desktop for a while and I love it.

I've been using the VX Revolution for about a week and a half (since I got my new SR MBP), and I can say that it is excellent. But I just have a question for everyone about the software. Are you using the Logitech Control Center (LCC) software and drivers, or are you using something like SteerMouse? I read everywhere that the LCC had all kinds of problems, and that it doesn't work well with OS X. So I am currently using the SteerMouse controls, but I would just like to know if anyone has used the LCC without any problems. Thanks.

I didn't have any problems with the LCC per se, but the inability to disable mouse acceleration is what caused me to go with a 3rd party solution. I can't stand the amount of acceleration that the OS/drivers forces upon mice. Personally, I'm using USB Overdrive and have gotten excellent results. My VX is now smooth as silk, and doesn't jump all over the place.

+1. I love the aesthetics of this mouse. I've been using it for 9 months w/o any problems.

I have the MX revolution for my desktop and it's one of the best mouses I have ever had.

When I was looking for mouses for my MBP I purchased the Logitech V270 Bluetooth Mouse over the vx because I did not want to have a dongle sticking out. I just wanted something that would work with just the mouse itself. But, if you don't mind having a dongle sticking out. I would definitely get the vx revolution.

    where are you, 2005?

i got my vx revolution for $35, certainly the best mouse $35 can buy. the only thing i don't like about it is its size. if it were just the tiniest bit bigger all around, it would fit more comfortably in my hand. this is why my full-time mouse is the mx revolution.
