I'll go with a leather case for my new iPhone, since the only place my phones get scratched is in my pocket, not when I'm using it. This way I can maintain the iPhone's sleek design too.

So I was wondering if you could help me make a list of all the possibilities, since I find very few cases that are in line with my wishes.
And those wishes are: leather, slide-in design and no clips or anything on the case..

I'll make two groups:

WITH SPECIAL "PULL-TAB" DESIGN
Sena Corsa

LESS APPEALING ALTERNATIVES
Beyza Strap

PLAIN POUCH
Vaja classic Retro Slim Bag

Ikonic Edge (also a similar pouch available without credit card holder)

LESS APPEALING ALTERNATIVES
AB Sutton Simple Slip - very custom, but expensive ($88)
Diesel Hastings - classy, but only in black and greenish
Artwizz Leather Pouch
More Classic
More Vintage Plus(with a hole underneath)
More Vogue - the reviews say that a white iPhone absorbs the red dye of the case's inside.
Beyza Slimline(with a hole underneath)
Beyza Slim
Sena UltraSlim

The ones with the image are the ones I'm considering. The quality of the leather and the ease of use is the most important thing! And that it doesn't defect the phone of course...

So are there any other similar cases I haven't got in this list yet? Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks guys, I've updated the list! :)

About that Iconic Edge, isn't it hard to pull the iPhone out? Because it looks like there isn't much space to take hold of the phone... It looks great anyway, I think I'll go with that one or with the Sena Astra.

I recieved my IkonicEdge today, though i feel its not worth 50 dollars, however judging by other leather pouches in market i believe IkonicEdge is the best by far. Go for the Tan color it looks real like a corporate accessory. Its very soft, not at all bulky and stiff like other leather pouches, slips in side even a fitting jeans pant without any bulk.

Ok, but how easy is it to pull out the phone?

The Sena Corsa seems to be high quality leather too, and has that "pull-tab". I emailed them about it, they simply gave me this link.

I guess IkoniucEdge has done some modifications in their pouches, cos the pouch i recieved is easy on to pull out the fone.
Apart from that, from other reviews on various sites members outlined that the pouch becomes easy on for the fone within a weeks of usage. I personally did not like Sena, cos the design does not look elegant as the fone. It gives the fone a funny look infact. :) (thats a personal opinion).

I've got the ikonic edge w/card slot case- had it for about 3 weeks now. Overall I like the case. I've had to adjust to not carrying a wallet but thats fine as I really didn't need to have 90% of the junk I had in my wallet with me all the time anyway. As someone else noted, it's pretty soft, especially when compared to some of the other semi-expensive leather cases. I especially like that the stitching is inside the case rather than on the outside. I think this gives it a cleaner look.

I've stretched mine quite lot as I have a thin back cover on my phone so that adds to the overall thickness of the phone. I now have no problems getting my phone in and out. I do think the card slot makes getting the phone out easier as you can press the card tops and case bottom together to push the phone out.

Ok, thanks! :)

I like the design of the Sena Corsa more though, in my opinion that stripe in an other color makes it more classy!

Thanks for the info! :) I won't get the card-version anyway, since I really need my full wallet, but this is personal of course.

So it looks like IconicEdge is the only one with a full-leather pouch in their assortment...:(

Ah thanks, I missed that one!

I can't find any more info though, it's not listed on the Diesel page, nor is there a Diesel Hastings website...

I've updated the openin-post again.

So I like the Sena Corsa most of them, but as iHonda said it's not 100% leather. About the Diesel, I like a brown color more than black or that blue-ish color, and I think Iconic has better quality anyway. So far it's in favour of the Iconic then, but I must say I like that Beyza Strap too. And that "pull-tab" system appeals to me frankly...

Ok, this is probably the last update before choosing a pouch.

But I find it extremely difficult...:(

1) Sena Corsa - I like the pull-tab very much, I like the design, and the leather seems not too bad judging at the photos (but still no respons of Sena whether they can confirm it's not mixed half leather - probably because it is).

2) Vaja Slim Bag - The customization of the colors and leather is just more than great! Plus i prefer the light colored suede inside more than that of Ikonic Edge. For the rest it's very classy with the stripe (also with the color of choice!) and the metal logo.

3) Ikonic Edge - Great leather, and compared to the Vaja inexpensive. And the credit card holder of course!

Damn, if I had nothing to do with the money I would buy al three of them!

i have the iconic pouch, mine has the credit card slot ($50.00) im not a big fan of it.. feels very cheap, leather is VERY soft im more used to harder leathers. the stiching job is nice minus the uneven credit card slot.. but overall they are ok. little pricey.

Yes I noticed that uneven stiching too! But I do love soft leather.

And compared to the Vaja ($48-51 + shipping) or Sena ($40 + shipping) it's quite reasonably priced I think...

By the way, if you have the dark brown version and you want to get rid of it... ;)

Take a look at leather case/pouch from NutShell.

I know you don't want clips, but their clip is by far the best I've seen and used.
They also have many customizing options.
I've also owned many Vaja cases over the years but I think their quality has gone down a notch.

Thanks, good to know!

I became suspicious in the first place when they didn't answer my question and just gave me the link to their "our leather"-page. Still waiting for their second reply, I'm curious what they will say...

Yes I had the Sena Ultra Thin and it certainly seemed like a mixed leather to me - it doesn't have that smell you get with real full genuine leather.
I think they are made in asia on a large scale.

Had the IkonicEdge for a long time now and it is without doubt real leather and it's compact when in your pocket and its hard wearing - still looks great. You can tell 100 percent leather by that nice leather smell.
I can't believe how many companies say that their products are genuine leather when they are clearly a mixed leather.

Thanks for the tip, but that's - like you said - not what I'm looking for. Shame that Vaja's quality is decreasing!

Yes, that last sentence is very true. I have no experience with iPhone pouches though, but there are tons of belts/coats/bags/etc. that are no genuine leather or leather of 0.5mm thick - you can write on it by scratching with your nail! And they call it "leather"...

i have a coach wallet that is 100% leather.. i can write my name in it with the edge of my nail so im not sure what you mean with that comment..

word of advice, STAY AWAY FROM THE LOUIS VITTON iphone pouch/case its PURE trash.. i mean PURRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEE trash.. it doesnt cover the entire phone surface like most other pouches do and its very bulky and cheaply made but they have the nerve to charge $300 for it.. i LOL @ their attempt, but i do know a few people with it and i almost bought one until i put my phone in it and seen how horrible the quality is. your deff paying for a name on that one. thats why i wish coach would make a iphone case like the ipod case they made years ago. coach is a little overpriced but at least the higher end stuff is made in france or italy their cheap line is made in china (go figure)

btw all wallets in picture expect for the brown croc are for sale if anyone is interested ;)

Sorry, I wanted to say with "writing with your nail" that the leather comes of and you have white (or black) permanent stripes: the lower layer.

I've seen that Vuitton case, but never expected that it would be soooooo overpriced!

Nice wallets btw!;)

Finally

Ok, I've made up my mind! :)

Vaja:
- Leather is too shiny
- Bulkier because of the stitching on the outside of the pouch
- Metal Vaja logo could get stuck somewhere, fall off, or scratch other things
- Pretty expensive

Sena:
- Leather quality is not so great
- That "pull-tab" is actually not that much better, you have to do two movements anyway (pull the tab, and pull the phone), so I don't think it's that much quicker

Ikonic Edge:
- Simple design + nice leather
- Credit card/cash holder
- Most compact of them all
- Relatively cheap

So it's the last one! :)

Good choice!! Nothing is prefect in this world.. so is not this pouch, but atleast u will not regret after having it. In three weeks, i've received over 10 inquires from my colleagues in the offices for this pouch.
