Best leather cases for iPhone 12

They seem to be hiding this on purpose as there are no pics of the front of the case anywhere on their site or social media. I asked them on Instagram and they ignored my question.
If I had to guess I would say it’s open.
Open bottom deal breaker for me.

I have several ESR cases for my previous iPhones (X and 11 Pro Max). I have clear TPU, Leather in Black and the Cloud cases. THey have all been excellent. I have 3 more coming for my 12 Pro Max. They should be here before I place my order for the PM Friday. I think they make a great case after many years of Apples Leather Cases I am glad I broke the habit.

"compatible with magsafe" seems like it means that the magnet will find it and stick, but probably not charge at the full 15W. my suspicion is that the magnets connect to keep it on the case, but that it only charges at Qi-speeds.
Qi is a wireless charging standard the iPhone 12 uses. MagSafe is a propriety magnet connection.

ESR is sending out 12 pro emails saying their size is wrong. I’d hold off on recommending them.

I bought a Coach leather case from Best Buy and it’s a bit jankier than expected. Bunched up leather around the corners and open top and bottom. Also absolutely not working with magsafe. It’s going back.

Apple Leather cases better not be open bottom lol. Pinning my hope on them.
They keep the bottom open to make it easier when you swipe up from the bottom of the screen. But I understand the need for people to want protection all around the phone.

I’m also fan of Mujjo, this year buttons are terrible. There is a gap between case buttons and the phone and you have to press them deep and harder. I do not like the case this year.
Maybe a defective or poorly made case, especially if hand-made??

Fingers crossed that the Apple leather cases don't carry a magnet tax like the silicone ones do :-b

I found the same. Really needed to dig hard with a fingernail to get the press to register. Mine is going back. I got the wallet case, no way is it worth £45, the 11 Pro version is £20

You do know that the Mujjo's are made in China. Just made at a large assembly line, nothing hand-made about it.

I used a hardgraft with my last phone, not sure what I'm going to do this year. I tried the Apple silicon sleeve but I don't like it at all.

I didn't know. hardgraft is in another league, too bad they aren't available yet.

What do you mean, wrong size? I've received mine today and it seems to fit quite well....

Here are my first impressions, posted in the sticky thread:

How does the thickness compare to Apple's cases?
It's a lot thicker on the sides, and on the back it's flat - so where as the Apple leather case has the hump for the camera, the Sena case is completely flat in the back. Imo, it is a noticeable size increase to the phone.

Granted, this provides a lot more protection but I find the Apple cases a lot thinner on an already massive phone. So I'm really torn. (Sena makes the phone feel big).

I went and got an Apple Silicon cuz I love how thin it feels - picking up from the desk is just amazing. This may be the first year I don't use a leather case.

What I found interesting was the noticeable number of Apple 12 leather case returns (even for the Pro Max) at my local Best Buy. Not sure if it was the popping out issue some have reported or what...

I'm really happy with my Green Apple Silicon. That dark green is ... perfect.

Damn, I knew I should have ordered the Sena over the Mujjo. Hopeful the Mujjo is thicker as well and similar to the Sena. I’m thinking the thicker leather cases use actual leather not shaved down as much and will patina much nicer. I could be wrong, but looking at older Apple saddle brown cases that aged the best were thicker.

Any thoughts on the Barlow snap on from Burkley? I'm trying to decide between:
1. Burkley - Ostrich Blue
2. Bullstrap Ocean
3. Apple Baltic Blue

This is for my Pacific Blue 12 Pro. Don't care about Magsafe.
