See, this is what I am talking about. I wish people would do more research before they post misinformation. First of all, what case doesn't cover the edge/frame of a smartphone? Secondly, foldable cases not only have full coverage, but some of them offer full hinge protection as well.

After the Air, I'm sure Apple realizes this could flop– but they'll still sell a TON of iPhone Pros because the Fold will generate buzz, hits, and bring people into the store, both in person and online. It's a very expensive marketing device.

This ignores the fact that we've always had black iphones up until the 16 Pro.

The issue is that a Pro Max opening up would have a roughly square screen, which is bad for video, gaming, and even for reading.

Yet people love their foldable Samsungs. And I do too. I’d rather have those “issues” than this short stumpy phone.

As the saying goes, you're free to buy a Samsung foldable. 🙂

People have different use cases and hence different preferences. I use a mix of Apple devices, Android devices, and PCs for that reason.

The mac book neo was a entry level product, aimed at first time users. The Iphone fold is a niche product at a higher cost.
