I have a Macbook Air 2013 i5 with 8gb ram, which is currently running High Sierra. I'm actually pretty satisfied with the performance, but still wondering which OS version would be the most adequate for the MBA. I'm not sure if it is wise to upgrade to Catalina, but maybe to Mojave? Is there anyone here with either a Macbook Air from 2013-2014 or a similar Macbook running Mohave or Catalina, who can share his/her experience, especially performance and battery wise?

Thanks in advance for any replies!

High sierra currently offers the best app compatibility and performance to your 2013 MBA. I use it because I need iTunes 12.6.5.3 support for app management. Catalina on the other hand is a hot mess. Even after a full year, there are still tons of issues.

I have Mojave on the early 2015 13" and love it.

The mid-2013 and early 2015 Air areidentical except for a slightly faster and newer cpu and slightly faster PCIe bus.
