Nope, that is perfectly acceptable here at MR. The Apps forums are full of developers' ads. What is frowned upon is guerilla / viral marketing: posting a very good review of an app in the name of a completely independent, unbiased user.

I don't assert that I'm completely independent user and I didn't post "very good review", I just described what useful (for me as user) the app can do and also acknowledge bugs (mentioned by you) that the app has, but which aren't important for me as a user.
