I was looking at the Acase Superleggera, but I don't know if it will fit our VZW iPhones.

Alright, trying to narrow down my choices here, any comments are appreciated:)

I never use a case, but feel I need to for awhile with my new iPhone. I dropped my last phone maybe twice. No scratches, etc worth noting.
I do worry about the camera and flash lens though on the iPhone if I don't protect it. I usually carry it in a coat pocket along with a lighter.

I was just going to go with one of the SGP Skin Guards, screen protector (on it now). Is a bumper really necessary you think?
Also looked at their leather grip case, but concerned it is too bulky? In the summer I typically shove my phone on my front short or jeans pocket.

I really like the look of the wood skin guard, but worry about slickness. That's one complaint, the raw iPhone feels like it is going to slid eout fo my hands.
Now the Neo Hybrid is looking good.

Any suggestions for me?

I personally like the Acase mentioned above.
Just don't go with Pinlo Slice. Although the thinnest, the thing cracks like no ones business and customer support is horrible.

I use The Lucky Labs skins to protect my iPhone. Carbon fiber back and been through a few different color sides. Protects against scratches, all that I'm looking for.

I can't seem to find the Lucky Labs stuff anywhere but their website.

Big question...is a bumper necessary for the most part?

I got it from his website, a while back I did see some on Etsy... but thats been it. He does run sales and coupon codes from time to time.

I never used my bumper. I gave my orange one to my dad, have a black on still in the package. Also have A Griffin Reveal Etch graphite in the package (got it from the free case program). Never felt the need to put any of my iPhones in a case.

I have an invisible shield on the back plate of my iPhone 4, so I go back and forth between an Apple bumper (green) and an InCase Snap (black).

The bumper reminds me just how thin the phone is, but the Snap adds virtually no width to the phone and fits the speaker system on my desk at work better (well, should say that the bumper adds too much thickness at the bottom to seat properly on the speaker dock). So it just depends on what mood I'm in.

Thanks for the feedback on those.

Two more ?'s...
Is there a chance or anyone know of the camera lens or flash being scratched just from normal useage, laying on table, etc? Do the back skins add a little extra help there? I ask because the pictures of the SGP back skins appear as those they rise above the top of the lens, which if so would help that I assume.

Lastly, anyone felt the wood-like back skins? I like their look, but worry it might go against my wanting the phone to feel so slick in my hands, thus thinking one of the leather back skins.

Thanks, helps a lot!

The camera "lens" is made of glass, like the majority of the phone. It'd take quite a bit to scratch it. Laying it on a table and what have you won't scratch it.

As far as the skins... every skin on the market rises above the top of the lens being the lens is flush with the back of the phone and there has to be a cutout for the camera. Also, 99% of the leather back skins on the market are either fake leather or real leather sprayed with a latex sealant (like a leather car seat) to enhance durability... so they're not exactly "grippy".

A lot of people freak out about scratching their iphone... it takes quite a bit to scratch a 4. Unless your phone is dropped or comes in contact with metal or sharp foreign objects... it's not going to scratch. So... relax ;)

Thanks Anotone! Peace of mind helps:D

Per the slickness on the back skins, don't really think the leather or "like" is anymore grippy than the wood look, heh? Hmm.
Maybe I can travel to a mall with the kiosks in them and do some checking this weekennd

not compatible

Apple bumper with an invisible shield type appliqué on the back.
That's what I'm using presently on my AT&T iPhone and will likely do the same on the VZW coming Tuesday.
Apple bumpers now are not compatible with VZW i4, since VZW i4 is a little different from AT&T i4 in the look. :D

I had the same question as the original poster. The weight of opinion seems to be towards the InCase Snap? If so, a couple questions:

The InCase website has two pages for the Snap, one listed under Verizon iPhone (which only comes in black), the other listed under AT&T iPhone (which comes in black, clear and white). I assume these are different, and that the AT&T version doesn't work with the Verizon iPhone? Also, does anyone have particular opinions on the various colors these come in?

Thanks a lot.

Well, I ordered a custom skin off of ebay that looks cool, likely no real protection. Think I am going to order a Neo Hybrid as well. Maybe snag a cheap pouch for summer when I throw phone in golf carts.
