Best model/year to buy? 2009-2011

Everywhere I've looked up specs they say 8Gb max but I'm guessing they're saying 8Gb max PER DIMM slot.

I got it on eBay. Only a small little ding on the side but I don't care.

Some people might complain about buying them on eBay...but I have zero problems with doing it and I'm sure it'll be nice. Comes with the original box, chargers, and all CD's, etc!

Do you guys know of any good guides for newbs to Macs? I'm going to browse the forums now to look...anything that explains the special gestures and key combinations you can do?...

Haha thanks. There's a bunch of them on eBay though and there have been a few that have gone in that price range...just have to find the right one. I've been looking now since I started this thread and a bunch of them have gone for good prices.

About 5 months ago, a friend was able to get a 2011 13" i5 MBP, pristine condition, with a 128gb SSD installed at a fire sale price from a coworker in her firm's IT department so he could get a retina.

She asked me if it was a good deal, and I told her it entitled her to membership in the "You Suck" club....

"Hey, I got a ........ for $......."

"Really? YOU SUCK!"
