Best non-leather case?

Hi,

I've almost always had the silicone gel cases and for the most part have found them really good, so I'm tempted by this:

I also like that it's quite subtle and understated.

However, I'm wondering if it would offer enough protection? If I dropped my phone it'd certainly be a big help (plus it'd make the phone a lot easier to grip) but I'm wondering if I need something to cover the front of the phone too?

I like the idea of a flip case possibly (similar to the iPad smart case) but they all seem to be leather 🙁

What I swear by are the Zoogue cases! They're silicone, they don't attract any lint, and they have a great grip! The design is ok, not as flashy as either of the Apple Cases and they don't have any hard plastic or real clear options, but they're reasonably priced!

I am into leather cases mate but what about wood or carbon cases?!
