Just short of iFixit, any reconnendations for a new battery for a 2013 13" MBP

2 years and counting...holding out on new MBP with MORE memory than 16gb.
Battery has got 591 cycles and is due for a battery...

I installed this one for someone and its working fine, check your year/model before you buy any of the after market ones.

591 cycles is not that much. Is the battery life so bad that you already need to replace?

It's about 70% lifecycle . Right now coconut is saying check battery.

I'm plugged in right now, but I swear I was at 100% when I left this morning and I flipped the lid, it was at 64% which prompted me to check coconut stats
[doublepost=1510610273][/doublepost]itegypt. Thx for the link. Amazon prime which is a ++++ but....man, I'd err on the side of caution buying something like that from a 3rd party source. Let me jump on OWC's site, which has been awhile since I've checked their offering.

Holding out for more than 16GB in a 13-inch MacBook Pro? I'd say not likely. Perhaps someday in the 15-inch model, particularly as a customization option for the higher end version, but I honestly don't see it happening that soon for a 13-inch model given that they still don't even have a 13-inch model with a dedicated GPU. Or is size not necessarily a major issue for you when considering your future upgrade?

As for your battery I'll let the others advise you, I just wanted to comment on the RAM part.

Cheers

Laptop is a road warrior. Don't want a 15" at all....
Yeah that's why I was asking; it may be a few more years yet, maybe longer, before we see more than 16GB memory in a 13-inch MacBook Pro. I only say that because as of now even the highest end, fully customized and maxed-out 15-inch MacBook Pro (Apple part number for this customized MBP is Z0UC0LL/A) has only 16GB. Whether they introduce 32GB on the 15-inch first or simultaneously with the 13-inch, I still think we're a few years out to be honest. Hey, I hope I'm wrong, but we'll see. Time will tell...

Cheers

PS. I hear you on the road warrior. I myself am a photographer and my MBP comes with me everywhere I go. However what I've found with the 2017 models is that due to the extremely thin design I have no issues with the 15-inch model and portability. I have a super thin Incase sleeve which hugs it extraordinarily tight (I believe it's called Incase ICON Sleeve Ripstop, or something to that effect) and even in this sleeve it's barely larger than my 12.9-inch iPad Pro in its Smart Keyboard case. As such, the 2017 15-inch MBP poses no issue for my need for ultra portability and on-the-road photography. :)

Interesting POV on the 15 footprint..Half the times my IPP 12+ SK + Silicone Case come along for the ride too....not that I really compare the sizes as they do different functions for me.

Likewise, both of mine are with me nearly all the time as well, but in the same bag as due to size similarities in the cases I can put them both in the same sleeve in my bag - just wanted to point out the comparability in footprints for you as it is quite surprising. When I'm home later this evening just for interests' sake I'll update this post and post an image of the two side by side and on top of each other and to show how they fit in the same "slot" in my travel bag. It really is quite interesting.

Cheers

I also have an Egoway battery in my 2010 MBP. The first one turned out to be a dud after 4 months but the company stood by their product and sent me a new one which is working fine so far.

Just hit 599 cycles....anyhow, back on topic. I presume the generic battery all comes from the same cookie cutter factory as when you look up the respective 3rd party battery, it has all the same markings....

Thread bump. Anyone care to share a manuf. with good customer service on the warranty side of things.
My only concern would be like those hoverboards. I've left my MBP on my charger overnight with no worries. Should this be on my radar
