Some further pictures of the card, I couldn't find any info on ebay. I removed it from the MDD after hearing it might be a special card and safely put it in an anti-static bag

It's not really that special, go ahead and use it! It wasn't super common, but it isn't impossible to get, so take advantage and enjoy it!
I'm planning on fully upgrading this MDD, so I was planning on parting with whatever card came default in it anyway. How is this card performance wise?
It was a smidge better than the GeForce 3 but a good bit better than the Radeon 7500. It didn't have ADC, so for some people that's great and others that's unfortunate. There's another one on eBay now BIN for $21 shipped, so it's not exactly high in demand like an X800 or X850
Do I need the loud optical drive fan if I just take out my optical drive and use an external one? I know it can't boot from usb but i've already got my os installed.
