Hello, I have a MBP, a Samsung Galaxy Note PRO 12.2 and an iPhone. Are there any good annotation software that has good cross platform support? I plan to annotate the same files sometimes from the Mac and sometimes from the Note PRO. I don't think I want to annotate using my small iPhone. It would be nice if the app could highlight/underline in different colors, add notes, etc. In the past, I used ezPDF Reader for Android.

Two good Pdf annotation apps available for macOS and IOS are Pdf Expert and PDFPen/PDFPenPro. Neither is available for Android, however, as far as I know.

There is an answer to the cross-platform issue, though. Both of the above apps can sync (or at least import from/export to) Dropbox. As long as your favorite Android PDF-annotating app can work with Dropbox files, you should be good to go. The nice feature of Dropbox is its near-universal compatibility with multiple platforms.

You will need to check in to the nuances of file syncing vs. simple import/export of files in order to keep your various file versions straight.

Thanks. So far, I use the Mac and Android versions of Acrobat and dropbox. Haven't tried to do it on iOS device yet. The only minor issue is that only yellow color is available for highlighting.

LiquidText is an awesome and unique annotation app, since it lets you organize your highlights in a separate pane, allowing quick grasping of information.
