Best phones for cameras

okay i understand macrumors may be biased but what would you say are the best phones for camera quality?

I think if you stick to any of the latest generation of "flagship" phones be they android or iOS, they all have good cameras.

It then really comes down to what do you want to photograph and then that is a whole new question to answer... 🙂

The iPhone 7 camera wasnt as good as i rxpected tbf. The iphone 7 plus, heck even the 6s plus was better, less reflection. Or is that go do with the settings ?

Nikon D500

I'd like to see the attachment rig to strap your Nikon D500 to your phone. Might not be very portable. And awkward when you have to answer a call, and knock yourself out by accident.

lol I was being sarcastic. A camera phone is so limited. It contains no manual features, so it really camera quality? You could really just pick up a small Canon Point and shoot.

I've found that the 7+ is a pretty good camera for a phone. If I want better quality I'll use a real camera instead of a phone.

From what I've seen taken from my wife's 7+ the photos are great.

Inadequate response to be sure. Those of us from film days recall fully manual cameras with minimal settings available and did work that often was superior to all these digital cameras. Many roll film cameras were rather simple in way of features yet, we got the job done.

I am not much of a fan of phone cameras but I would never consider then worthless at any level and have seen very impressive images from time to time. As for the Nikon D500, it lost out to a much smaller mirrorless camera in 3 out of 5 types of testing so it is not the end all either. There are more and more features coming to the camera parts of phones and it is making a huge dent in the camera market.
