I just drag from finder into the box. But I’ve already resized photos for web so I don’t get errors.

Method I use the most is to screenshot something with cmd+shift+4 and then hold ctrl while I mark the section or with the space bar window toggle click the window; That way it’s in the clipboard, and I just paste straight into here. Of course that’s just for screenshots but that’s the majority of what I post images of; Quick “here’s the thing” screenshots

Well, that is what I did except using SnagIt.

For years that appraoch has worked, but apparently no more.

Usually I just paste or dragon’ drop but either should work

Yeah just reading the text of the error message and wondering if the dragon method - thanks I am using that one at work today - results in a different storage result to the attach file route. Also, there is a limit to the size a post can be, maybe the image being air dropped by the fire breather was just too big?

I know this forum tool has a hissy fit with text pasted in from word processors etc because of formatting tags but to be honest, I still have the old 3.8mb max file size limit ingrained in my head lol....

From my read, probably best to stick with simple formats any app can deal with and small file sizes.

Hmmm...The photographer must be a very nice person to allow the OP to keep the photo. Most pro photographers do not release the original image to the customer. I agree with others about a copy of the original on TIFF format. One can do a lot with such an image.

There are plenty of photographers who will sell an edited image. Next to none will sell a raw image.
