Normally I buy cheap iPhone cases on eBay but the current one I have has pretty much disintegrated before my very hands.

I’m currently visiting family in the middle of nowhere in South Carolina and I have a:

Best Buy
Target
Walmart

Nearby. Which would be best to snatch up a case for my iPhone Plus? Low price prereably. I’ll most likely be upgrading to the latest and greatest come this fall.

Dollar Store. They usually offer plenty to choose from, although not the best looking ones.

I have a $5 clear case with "padded" corners and a $3.50 screen protector which I got from a phone case place at the mall. My XR has been flawless (I've had to replace the case due to yellowing and the screen protector has sacrificed itself for the screen a few times) but other than that it's been great. Better than getting a $1 million Zagg case that will look like **** in 3 months anyway.

I highly recommend your local random phone case store.

I buy cases and screen protectors from a store called Five Below. Everything is five dollars or less. No issues yet with quality.

None of the three will have any "cheap" cases unless they're the house brands, or on sale/clearance.

While the selection can be hit/miss, or tend toward floral and glitter patterns, the discount stores like TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls can have some finds.

Speck cases can be found for about $12-15, as well as other lesser-known but legit brands (like Laut) that didn't gain traction at full price. Lately, the Apple Leather Folios for the iPhone X have appeared for $30.

But stock changes and varies, so it's like a scavenger hunt.

Is it really a big deal to just pull up to any of those stores and go in to see what they have?

Not even the correct forum for the question.

Best Buy has a decent clear case made by Dynex for $9.99. I'm not sure if they have a version for the Plus models, though.
Also, I suggest checking out a Five Below (if available). They seem to have decent cases. And places like Ross, T.J. Maxx, and Marshalls. I think you'll be surprised what you find at those places.
