I've been contemplating this for a while, but after weighing the 12's leaks I can't seem to justify getting it over a cheaper 11 Pro Max, but I am still hoping the 12 has enough hype that people will want to upgrade to drive last year's phones down in price.

With that in mind, where would be my best option getting an 11 pro max? (Both new and used)

If It matters, I'm on Verizon and I'm planning on staying with that carrier.

I'm not sure if the iPhone 11's will get discontinued, nor have I ever seen verizon do deals with older iphones unlike samsung phones, but if you've ever seen those types of deals or holiday deals feel free to chime in.

Any experience with Amazon? I've never bought "renewed" products there before nor do I like blindly buying something that I can see the condition of.

I only buy on Amazon, best warranty I ever had on tech products. Two years of warranty and if you have any problem they send a new unit or make a 100% refund (they do not repair anything).

If you buy a renewed unit, look for the ones tagged as "Like new", they are in perfect condition.

Always look that the product is sold by Amazon and no third party vendors.

The limit is that, for example, with macbooks, they don´t sell personalized ones, so you have to get the stock one (can´t upgrade ram, video, storage, etc).

This. Return policy is great. I’m experiencing issues with freaking Newegg on a defective product (dyson vacuum) and I’m kicking myself for not buying Amazon. Like it or not and while I don’t like Amazon monopoly they just make things easy to buy and easy to return! Best Buy is also pretty good but they don’t sell iPhone models outright I think since they host cell companies onsite selling cell phone plans.

I wasn't aware of that return policy!
Thanks for the heads up and tips!

It would be nice to buy via apple to get some cashback via apple card, but how discounted are they usually? I figured it would still be cheaper to get one somewhere else?

Another vote for Amazon Renewed. Bought my iPhone 11 Pro from them last week. Saved about $500 off retail and the device was flawless—100% battery health too.

Can you elaborate more on the warranty? For example, when I look at this link:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZQT1L6B/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza?th=1
it says on the picture that it has a one year warranty. Are you combining it with a credit card (e.g. American Express) to extend that out to two years?

Also, a lot of the pictures for other models (64GB or 256GB) or colors don't mention that one year. All I see on the page is the 90-day return. The warranty link on Amazon's page is non-helpful. Now if I google Amazon's policy, I do come across this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=G4ZAA22U35N373NX
...but I'm not sure of their definition of "premium".

I’m sorry, here in Europe we have 2 years warranty by law (in Spain at least)

Anyway, 90 days of return policy is way better than the 14 of Apple...

I was honestly not expecting Amazon to be a common answer haha.
But if that is the case it is ideal as it fits my 5% rotation cash back calander.

What would you guys consider a decent price would be for a Pro Max?

I'm not sure I'm looking at the right place, but other than "renewed" there are no other details about the iphone? So it's rather difficult to guage what I'm buying.
