I suppose we'll find out more information tomorrow evening? I think Wal-Mart will begin selling them on midnight Friday like what happened last year. When I got my iPad 3 at Sam's Club last year all the models were discounted so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing this year as well.
Earlier today I talked with some staff at Sam's Club and they said most likely they will have the same price as at Wal-Mart, although if it isn't the case they will most likely price match (since it's the same company and all).
I hope so will be getting a PS4 and a couple games, just got NBALP, so any bit of savings I'm all for. If you find out please quote me and let me know...will probably try at midnight as well.
Buy from apple. They offer the best experience. Most retailers don't deal on iPads. Buy now and enjoy.
I live in MA, NH doesn't have sales tax. I just happened to be in NH one day last year and picked up my Mac Mini along with a monitor, did a lot of Christmas shopping and a few other things. Saved about $70. after gas and had a good day out.
Any savings is good but if your saving $30. on something that costs $729.99 (32GB Wifi/Cellular), it's not really worth waiting or going to far out of your way. Now a $100.00 savings, that's worth it. Covers a Smart Case and then some!
You can save 5% at Target if you have their Red Card and they sometimes have an offer where they give a gift card with the purchase. There is a Target 3 minutes from my house. That is worth it!

I'm thinking they're going to change it soon because the pink Smart Cover is the right price ($39).
EDIT: Ok that was creepy, I think they're changing it right now because the black Smart Cover is now also $39.
Does Target carry cellular, higher memory units?

If you go to Target you can see what they are selling in store and what is online only. Yes, the AIR is listed... just not available yet.
Yeah I checked the website and the store yesterday - they had very low inventory of markdown models - guess they are preparing for new stock. I may call them up this afternoon and see if they know anything about new inventory although it's hard to find a knowledgeable salesperson. Could save me $40 and pay for a chunk of Apple Care+. I bought my son's 32GB iPad 4 (wireless) there last year on Black Friday and saved around $80 with free gift card and 5% Red Card savings. But too impatient to wait until Black Friday for mine!
Resolution: just called and they said all they knew is they would be getting 5 units total in a variety of options. I don't think they'll have what I'm looking for.
I plan to get one from Verizon. Since I want cellular, I get a $100 discount when adding it to my shared plan. Yes, I'm locked into a 2 year contract but we're already there because of my wife's iPhone 5S.
