I did the math, and getting an iPod Touch with a mobile hotspot will still be cheaper than getting an iPhone. (current cell plan with verizon: $25/mo basic phone for 700 min and unlimited text, iPhone requires an additional $20 month access fee and $30/mo for 1GB data. TMobile hotspot is $30 month for 3 GB data. This means that I can buy a new iPT each year with the money I save on not getting a data plan).

In any case, I'm wondering where I can get the best deal on an iPod. I'm guessing the price will be the same everwhere, but when I bought my 5th gen a few years ago, some places were offering gift cards or free accessories with purchase. Anyone know of anywhere doing the same this time around?

thanks!

I would recommend best buy when they have a sale and they will have a sale at some point, perhaps Labor Day or Black Friday for sure. Combine the sale with the reward points and you get a decent discount.

Unless you want a 128GB iPod. Then you'd have to go to an Apple Store.
